House Demolition in Austin, TX
Whole-structure teardown and haul-off. We come out, look at the building and the lot, and give you one price for taking it down and carrying it away.
A lot that is ready for whatever is next
Taking a house down is not one job. It is utilities to be disconnected, a city process to be satisfied, a structure to be brought down safely, and several truckloads of material to be separated and taken somewhere that will accept it. The last of those is where the truckloads come from.
We quote the whole of it after looking at the building and the lot — what it is built from, what is around it, how a truck gets in, and what you want the ground to look like when we are finished.
Every quote is given on site and free, and there is no obligation attached to it.

What a whole-house teardown takes in
Before anything comes down
Utilities have to be disconnected by the utility or a licensed trade, and the city has to be satisfied that the work can start. We will tell you what we see as outstanding; we do not represent ourselves to your city on your behalf.
The structure
The building taken down and broken into material that can be loaded and moved.
Separation
Metal, wood, masonry, and general debris go to different places. Mixed debris costs more to dispose of than separated material, so it is separated before it leaves.
Haul-off
Everything leaves the lot. This is the half of demolition that a tear-down crew alone does not cover, and it is the half we started as a company doing.
The slab and the ground
Tell us whether you want the slab and footings out or left in place. It changes the quote, so it is worth deciding before we come out.
Outbuildings on the same lot
A garage, carport, or shed on the same property can be taken in the same visit. Say so when we quote and it goes in the same price.
What we look at when we quote a teardown
Size and construction
Square footage, number of stories, and what the building is made of. Masonry and framed structures behave differently and weigh differently.
Access
Whether equipment and trucks can reach the structure, and what is close enough to it to need protecting — a fence, a neighboring building, a tree you want kept.
What you want left
Slab out or slab in, foundation walls, driveway, and how the ground should be left.
What is inside it
A structure still full of contents is a cleanout and a demolition. We can do both, and it is better quoted as both.
There is no published price for a teardown. The on-site quote is free.
House demolition frequently asked questions
How much does house demolition cost in Austin?
There is no fixed price, and we do not publish one. Size, construction, access, and whether the slab comes out all move it. Call (512) 522-3569 or request a free on-site quote online.
Do I need a permit to demolish a house?
Cities in Central Texas set their own demolition requirements, and several of them require a permit, a registered contractor, or both for a complete structure. Check with the permit office for the city the property sits in before any work is scheduled. Demolition permits in Central Texas, city by city sets out what the cities publish, with the date their pages were read.
Do you handle asbestos?
No. Asbestos abatement is a separately licensed activity in Texas, carried out by abatement contractors who hold that state license. We do not do that work and we do not arrange it. Where a survey finds asbestos, it has to be handled by an abatement contractor holding the appropriate state license before demolition begins.
Who disconnects the utilities?
Utility disconnection is carried out by the utility companies, and by a licensed trade where one is required. It has to be complete before a structure comes down.
Do you take the slab out as well?
If you want it out, yes — tell us when we quote. Some people are rebuilding on the same footprint and want it left. It is a real difference in price either way.
What happens to the material?
It is separated on site and taken to facilities that accept each kind. Metal and clean wood do not go to the same place as mixed debris.
Other demolition work we take on
Structures come down the same way whatever their size: we look at it on site, then give you one price covering the tear-down and the haul-off.
