Land Clearing in Austin, TX
Overgrown acreage and lots, stumps and old sod cleared and hauled away. We walk the land with you first, then give you one price.
Ground that is ready for what comes next
Land clearing is for ground that is still overgrown or still holding what grew on it: brush that has taken over a lot, stumps left where trees came down, sod that has to come up before something new goes in. We clear the ground and haul off everything that comes out of it.
Standing trees are not part of land clearing here: we do not fell trees. If a tree is already down, the trunk and limbs are part of the job.
Get a Free On-Site QuoteLand clearing or yard waste removal?
The difference is where the material is when we arrive.
Land clearing
The material is still in the ground or growing on it: overgrowth across acreage, stumps, sod that is still down. Land clearing is quoted on site, after we have walked the land.
Yard waste removal
The material is already cut, piled or bagged: branches, brush, leaves and clippings from a yard project or a storm. That is yard waste removal, which has published starting prices.
A job can be both. Tell us what is on the land and what is already piled, and the quote will cover each.
What land clearing takes off the ground
Acreage and lots
Brush and overgrowth cleared from acreage or a lot, and hauled off the land.
Stumps
Stumps left after trees came down, removed along with the rest of the clearing. Tell us how many there are and roughly how big.
Sod
Existing sod taken up and hauled away, so the ground under it is ready for new planting, a path or a slab.
What is lying on the land
Old fencing, scrap and debris left on the ground can go in the same job and the same quote.
What changes the price of land clearing
Your free on-site quote gives you one price before the work is booked. These are the things that move it.
How much ground
A backyard strip and several acres are different jobs.
How dense the growth is
Light overgrowth and ground that has gone untended for years are different amounts of material to clear and haul.
Stumps
How many stumps there are, and how big, is part of every land clearing quote.
The lie of the land
Slope, gates and how close a truck can get to the area being cleared.
Before the land is cleared
Whether the city or county has rules about clearing the land is a question for that authority, and the property owner confirms it before the work date. If irrigation lines, a septic field or buried utilities run under the area, tell us when you book.
If a structure on the land is coming down too, the guide to demolition permits in Central Texas collects the published demolition rules of the cities it covers, with sources and read dates.
Land clearing frequently asked questions
Do you remove stumps?
Yes. Stumps are part of land clearing. Tell us how many there are when you request a quote.
Can you take up old sod?
Yes. Sod that is still down is land clearing. Sod you have already cut and stacked is a yard waste haul.
Will you cut down trees?
No. We do not fell standing trees. A tree that is already down is part of the clearing.
Can you clear around plants and trees I want to keep?
Yes. Show us what stays at the on-site quote, and we work not to damage it.
How much does land clearing cost in Austin?
There is no fixed price; it depends on how much ground there is, how dense the growth is and the stumps. No published land clearing figure held up well enough to repeat here, as our demolition cost guide explains. For your land, call (512) 522-3569 or request a free on-site quote online.
